We are trusted by some of the world’s most forward-thinking ship owners and operators, and our team spans Greece, the UK, Armenia, Romania, the Netherlands, Singapore and Japan. As the shipping industry undergoes enormous change, we are at the centre of that transition - helping our customers take control, reduce risk, and build competitive advantage.

About the position
We are looking for an Assembly & Inventory Control Engineer to own the build, test, and verification of our electrical and electronic hardware assemblies, and to keep the supporting procurement and inventory processes accurate and up to date. This is a hands-on role combining bench work (assembly, configuration, testing) with the discipline of maintaining records, quality standards, and ERP data. You will be a key link between engineering, procurement, and quality, ensuring every subsystem that leaves the bench is complete, configured, and validated.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform inspection, assembly, and mechanical/electrical integration of electrical and electronic assemblies according to drawings, BOMs, and work instructions.

  • Test and configure assembled hardware, including firmware/software loading, parameter setup, and functional checks.

  • Ensure subsystem readiness through defined testing and validation procedures before handover or shipment.

  • Perform quality checks and functional verification to confirm assembled parts operate to specification, and document any non-conformances.

  • Maintain accurate and traceable records in line with manufacturing and quality standards (build records, test results, serial/lot tracking).

  • Handle procurement of hardware, components, and materials required for assemblies, coordinating with suppliers on lead times, specifications, and availability.

  • Use and maintain the company ERP system, keeping inventory levels, BOMs, stock movements, and order status accurate and current.

  • Identify and flag shortages, quality issues, or process improvements to engineering and operations.

Job requirements

Job Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in Electrical/Electronic/Automation Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent hands-on experience).

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.

  • Practical experience assembling and testing electrical/electronic hardware.

  • Familiarity with test and measurement equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, power supplies, etc.).

  • Experience working with an ERP or inventory management system, and comfort keeping digital records accurate.

  • Strong attention to detail, methodical documentation habits, and a quality-first mindset.

  • Proficient in written and spoken English.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a regulated or standards-driven manufacturing environment.

  • Exposure to instrumentation, embedded systems, IoT, or networked hardware.

  • Basic Linux, networking, or firmware/configuration experience.

  • Procurement or supplier-management experience.

  • Soldering skills
