About Us

DeepSea was founded to bring the latest AI technology to make the world of shipping leaner, greener, and better connected. DeepSea talent is spread across Greece, the United Kingdom, Romania, Thailand and Japan and we are growing quickly.

We are a scale-up company - meaning you will be helping us move to the next level, delivering a tangible contribution to a more sustainable shipping world. There is no complex hierarchy nor long approval processes - we just deliver. You will be joining a company with highly skilled and smart people who love solving complex problems.

About the position

DeepSea is looking for a skilled marketeer with a strong commercial mindset to support our revenue director across a range of strategic and operational initiatives. While the core focus of this role is marketing, it will also involve broader commercial activities such as sales support, reporting, and customer lifecycle optimisation.

As a deeptech company, DeepSea operates at the intersection of advanced technology and the shipping industry. This role requires both the ability to grasp complex technical concepts and the skill to communicate them effectively to diverse audiences.

This role would suit candidates with diverse commercial backgrounds - such as consultants, commercial roles in startups, or marketeers looking to broaden their scope - who are eager to play a pivotal role in both marketing execution and the wider commercial strategy.

Responsibilities

Working closely with the revenue director, sales team, and wider commercial and operations teams, this role will involve:

  • Driving DeepSea’s marketing execution & contributing to strategy across all channels, ensuring a strong industry presence.

  • Bridging marketing and sales, contributing to lead generation efforts, refining the customer lifecycle, and supporting commercial growth.

  • Developing high-quality content that communicates DeepSea’s mission, products, and insights in a compelling and accessible way.

  • Creating marketing and sales enablement materials to support various stages of the customer journey.

  • Coordinating external events to maximise brand exposure and commercial impact.

  • Process improvement & documentation to help optimise and systematise DeepSea’s commercial function

  • Crafting and executing thought leadership campaigns in collaboration with PR support.

Job requirements

  • Native-level fluency in English

  • Strong ability to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into engaging content.

  • Hands-on experience in B2B marketing, including campaign execution across multiple channels.

  • At least 3 years of combined commercial experience, with at least 2 years specifically in B2B marketing.

  • Strong copywriting and content creation skills.

  • Ability to plan and coordinate external events effectively.

Preferred but not essential

  • Experience in the shipping industry.

  • Familiarity with technology or engineering fields.

  • Experience in startups or scale-ups

What we offer:

You will be part of a dynamic team focused on delivering results and continuous improvement while disrupting the industry, and will also receive:

  • Competitive remuneration package: Skill & experience-based salary and eligibility for additional employee benefits.

  • Health Package: Private health insurance coverage and mental health - therapist benefit

  • Paid leaves: emergency and medical leaves.

  • Learning and Development Package: Access to courses platform and eligibility for seminars, conferences and workshops

  • Remote Flexibility: Great office space in the heart of Athens with hybrid option.

At DeepSea, we are looking for people who share our values and are aligned with our mission. It is important to us to ensure that no-one who is eager and capable of contributing constructively to our team is excluded because of ethnic or social origin, gender or sexuality, age or family status, disability or medical conditions etc. Diversity is well-proven to be a vital characteristic of teams that succeed, so we do everything we can to make our environment welcoming and safe for everyone.
